The Vibe-2 packs all the power, tone and features of the Vibe-Bro housed in a smaller, pedal board friendly enclosure. It's main circuitry is basically a clone of the Vibe-Bro and the original 1960's Honey Uni-Vibe using high quality photocells, high grade carbon composition resistors and even an ultra rare N.O.S Miyama red and white Chorus-Vibrato switch! The Vibe-2 features two speed controls operated by a front panel foot switch. The popular Bypass-Preamp switch found on the rear of the Vibe-Bro can also be found on the front panel of the new Vibe-2. Its smaller size (5.5 x 4.5 x 1.75 inches - 13.5 x 11.5 x 4.5 cm) is a major plus for those with pedal boards where real estate is at a premium.
The Vibe-2 nails that old school "Vibe" sound and then some. It drips with the heavy pulse and deep tone found in the old vintage Uni-Vibes that we all love. The Vibe-2 is powered by a 24 Volt DC wall power supply that we provide with each unit. The Vibe-2 can also operate with many of the commercially available DC power supplies used by guitarists to run their pedal boards. Since most DC power supplies do not have a 24VDC output, this is achieved by summing two twelve volt outputs (24VDC total) with a properly wired summing "Y" cable which we provide as well. The Vibe-2 needs sufficient amperage (400mA minimum per 12 volt output) to function properly. Units such as the Voodoo Lab "Digital", Strymon "Zuma" and the Vitoos "DC8" are examples of power supply units units that will allow the Vibe-2 to operate at a high level of performance. The Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2 for example, WILL NOT run the Vibe-2 properly as its #5-6 L6 outputs set to 12 volts each will not have enough amperage to run the device when summed together using our provided DC "Y" cable. Please note that not all DC "Y" cables are wired the same. Using a "Y" summing cable other than the official cable provided by us could damage your unit and/or your power supply which will void our warranty. Feel free to call our email us anytime for further clarification regarding the operation and power requirements of the Vibe-2.
The Vibe-2 can be used with our optional Vibe-2 Speed Control Foot Pedal. Physically identical to the Vibe-Bro speed control foot pedal, the Vibe-2 foot pedal differs however in that it connects to the Vibe-2 with a stereo plug. Internally, the Vibe-2 Speed Control Foot Pedal does not have effect cancelling via a relay operated DIN socket like the Vibe-Bro speed control foot pedal.
You can choose either the "TRUE BYPASS" or the original vintage vibe circuit "PREAMP" mode via the "Signal Path" toggle switch on the top of the unit.
Vibe-2 has been engineered to be pedal board friendly, measuring 5.5 x 4.5 x 1.75 inches - 13.5 x 11.5 x 4.5 cm .
The Vibe-2 is offered in both the standard "Vintage Black" and "Machine Gun Gray". When available, we also offer Metallic Hot Rod Purple, Voodoo Red (Slight Metallic) and Mean Toxic Green. Due to production scheduling, not all colors are available at all times.
The Vibe-2 is built using the highest quality parts available. NOS parts are used wherever possible including the über rare Miyama Red and White Chorus-Vibrato rocker switch.
The provided 500ma 24 Volt DC switchable wall adapter can run on wall current of 100-240 Volts AC. For international orders, we provide interchangeable wall plug connectors with each Vibe-2 power supply. This allows the user to run the Vibe-2 in the UK, EU, AUS, Japan and many other countries around the world.
WARNING!!!! - THERE ARE NO USER SERVICEABLE PARTS IN THE VIBE-2. OPENING THE UNIT AND/OR IMPROPER USE OF COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE POWER SUPPLIES EXCEEDING 24 VOLTS DC WILL DAMAGE THE VIBE-2 AND VOID THE WARRANTY!!
PLEASE PAY CLOSE ATTENTION AND CHOOSE DC POWER SUPPLY VOLTAGES TOTALING "NO GREATER" THAN 24 VOLTS WHEN USING THE PROVIDED VOLTAGE DOUBLING CABLE WITH COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE POWER SUPPLIES. SOME COMPANIES PRODUCE UNITS THAT OFFER 9-12-18 VOLT SWITCHABLE OUTPUTS. PLEASE TAKE ULTRA CARE THAT YOU DO NOT SET YOUR POWER SUPPLY OUTPUTS I.E. TO: 2 X 18 VOLTS = 36 VOLTS OR 1 X 12 VOLT + 1 X 18 VOLTS = 30 VOLTS ETC!!!SOME MANUFACTURERS OFFER POWER SUPPLY UNITS WITH 24 VOLT DC OUTPUTS. THE VIBE-2 SHOULD BE ABLE TO RUN ON "ONE" 24 VOLT OUTPUT (NO DOUBLER CABLE NECESSARY) AS LONG AS THE MINUMUM AMPERAGE IS 400mA.
Vibe-Bro nails the tone, look, feel, sound and that indefinable "chocolate smoke" only found in the early production vintage Honey and Shin-ei, Uni-Vibe effects. Made popular in the 60's by iconic guitar legends Jimi Hendrix, David Gilmour, and Robin Trower, the original Honey and Shin-ei "vibes" are legendary and at the top of the list of the all time greatest effects.
Vibe-Bro is the result of several years of intense planning, experimentation and plain old down and dirty hard work. Created by a team of respected "old school" industry professionals, we wanted to recreate the past as closely as possible and yet add some modern day design techniques without denigrating the natural tone and personality of the original circuit. It was not easy. Design changes were made up until the last minute and we will always be tweaking the Vibe-Bro as needed to give the player a truly great tonal and playable experience. Every Vibe-Bro is hand built by a team who really cares about quality. Sometimes several hours are spent by the "Shin-ei Tone Team" tweaking a unit for its maximum goodness. The Vibe-Bro can never be a mass produced effects pedal. Production numbers are small so great care can be taken to voice each individual unit as close to the originals as possible. We want the user to be able to stand the Vibe-Bro side by side to an original 60's vintage Uni-Vibe and hear no noticeable differences. We believe we have achieved that goal. When you play one, we think you will too.
You can choose either the "TRUE BYPASS" or the original vintage vibe circuit "PREAMP" mode via the "Signal Path" slider switch on the back of the unit.
Vibe-Bro has been engineered to be pedal board friendly. Measuring 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" x 2 1/2" it will take up about 20% less space than an original Uni-Vibe..
Vibe-Bro is offered in both "VINTAGE BLACK" and "MACHINE GUN GRAY". Occasionally we will offer the Vibe-Bro in some custom colors as well. Due to production scheduling, not all colors are available at all times.
The Vibe-Bro is built using many NOS electronic components and original Shin-ei "old school" flavoring. Check out the footswitch for instance. It features the "Shin-ei" logo on it just like many of our pedals did back in the day!
Besides the stadard 120 volt North American models. international Vibe-Bro models are available in 220 volt and 240 volt configurations. A special 100 volt model for the Japanese market is in development.
Created by the Shin-ei Custom Shop, the U-915 chorus/vibrato
rack module is a 19" rack mounted version of the Vibe-Bro with the addition of some
innovative and desirable flexibility.
Only twenty-five units will be available for purchase.
The U-915 features the same manual flexibility as the Vibe-Bro with a little extra added love. Familiar features include the Bypass-Preamp switch, Volume/Intensity controls, and the Chorus-Vibrato switch. Additional new settings include a front panel mounted toggle switch to choose "Vibe-Bro In or Vibe-Bro Out" and two speed setting controls which we label "Fast and Slow".
THE U-915 includes two rear panel stereo switching jacks. These allow the user to control EVERY manual function REMOTELY via external footswitches (not supplied). Innovative power and relay switching allows this functionality without sacrificing any tone or depth of effect.
The heart and soul of the U-915 lives inside an attractive high quality 19" anodized aluminum enclosure offered in either black or silver. The standard U-915 Rack Module is designed for 120 volt use. A 240 volt version is available in very limited quantities.
The B1G 1 Gain Booster adds a clean boost to your tone via a massive 30+ db of pure studio quality gain.
Besides its intended use for electric guitar, the B1G 1's fat
analog sound is equally
amazing when used with acoustic guitars, bass, and keyboards.
Guitarist Eric Johnson is currently using the B1G 1 Gain Booster on tour.
Designed by electronic guru Lee Jackson, the B1G 1 Gain Booster was engineered to be a high fidelity, studio quality gain boost without adding or detracting anything from the original signal. It is in effect, an analog pre-amp on par with vintage and modern recording studio channel strips with some extra added "love".
Highest quality analog gain boost with advanced circuitry not found in any commercial gain booster effect pedal. Only the finest audio components were used in the building and design of this effect.
The B1G 1 is made of 14 gauge cold rolled steel. It is virtually built like a tank.
If necessary, the unit can be powered by a nine volt battery or a nine volt external power source (100ma minimum) but performs best with a 9 volt DC external power supply (100ma minimum).
This is an exact reproduction of the original, first version 1967 Honey Co. Ltd.
"Baby Crying" FY-6 Super Fuzz.
Production is limited to one hundred units.
The Honey Co. Ltd. FY-6 "Baby Crying" effect was released in 1967. It was the very first incarnation of the Super Fuzz. There were several versions of the FY-6 Baby Crying Fuzz during the first 7-8 years of production and we have chosen our favorite features incorporating them into a painstakingly accurate reproduction of the original.
Using only the highest quality parts, we have duplicated the original electronic circuitry of the FY-6 and recreated its original magic. It is almost impossible to tell the difference between an original and our current unit.
The unit is controlled by the Balance/Expander knobs and the slider switch (Tone 1 & 2) which are located on the left side of the unit. The FY-6 is true to its original design and can be only be powered by a 9V battery.
The "Screaming Sister" 8ctave Boost is a tribute to the vintage octave boost pedal used by many iconic guitarists including Doyle Bramhall II, Johnny Lang and Kenny Wayne Shepherd.
Housed inside a tough steel vintage style enclosure, the Screaming Sister delivers a very musical octave boost effect. Pair it up with the Vibe-Bro or our U-915 Rack Module and you will have some monstrous tone to deal with.
There are three controls on the left side of the unit: "BOOST", "8CTAVE" AND "MOOD".
There is an LED located in the lower right corner of the unit which lets the user know if the effect is on or off. The unit runs on a nine volt battery and also features a nine volt socket for those looking to use an external power source. A nine volt 100ma extrernal source is required to power the unit.
The Screaming Sister is constructed out of high quality cold rolled steel and is powder coated to last a lifetime. We are now using the "Demont" footswitch on our products. This is the highest quality switch available in the industry, known for its quiet and easy actuation.

"The Vibe-Bro is the closest thing I've ever come to a real vintage 60's Uni-Vibe!"
"I received the Shin-ei Vibe-Bro today. It sounds unbelievable! It's the best Uni-Vibe I ever heard! I've tried them all and the new Shin-ei is by far the best one, it really nails that old sound without losing any tone signal which is a big deal with this kind of effect“
"My new Vibe-Bro kills it! This thing has THAT SOUND, just like my original Uni-Vibe! Thanks to my boy Dustin Sears from Shin-ei for building this for me!"
"I love my Vibe-Bro because I think it does complete justice to the old school vibe tones from the 60's. It's very analog sounding, and has some really innovative modern day features like the Bypass-Preamp setting. Shin-ei has literally nailed that classic vibe tone!"
"Love my Vibe-Bro! Great modern version of a classic effect! If Jimi Hendrix was still here he'd own this pedal! It's like my original Shin-ei, but with all the modern updates! Thank you for building my custom one in red!"
"You guys have built the dream machine! Every once in a while a device comes along that pushes a musician to refine himself and go further than he's ever imagined. Thanks so much for creating the Vibe-Bro!"
"The Vibe-Bro is a teleportation device to the 60's. It's 'THE' original Shin-ei sound but with much needed modern ammendments. Get one while you still can!"
"You’ve created a magnificent tool for elevating really good guitar tones to the next level...tones that turn heads. Suddenly there’s sustain that wasn’t there before and the ON/OFF, MORE/LESS control makes it an easy go-to in the studio. Obviously created with TLC, it’s a serious new addition to my toys."Bravo!"
